Scott Pearson Age 74 of Mounds View, died December 31, 2023. Preceded in death by parents, Donald and Marian; grandsons, Ryan and Zachery Pearson. Survived by wife Sue; faithful dog, Brandi; sister, Sheryl (Steve) Johnson; brother, Jim Pearson; children, James Jacobs, Tom (April) Jacobs, Mickey (Molly) Pedina, John (Charleen) Pearson and Chris Medina; grandchildren, Jacob Huey, Emily (Dennis) Gawronski, Anthony (Taylor) Tidwell, Katelyn Jacobs, Alaina Pearson, Kaylee Jacobs and Ariana Pearson; great-granddaughters, Avery and Remi Tidwell; many nieces and nephews. Memorial service Monday, January 15th at 2:00 PM (visitation 1-2 PM) at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM-PURCELL CHAPEL; 515 Highway 96 W., Shoreview. Scott was born during the winter of 1949 where his family was living in Kennedy, Minnesota at the time. They moved to Minneapolis when Scott was 3. He attended Aggasi and Whittier Schools for the deaf and made many friends which he kept throughout his life. He enjoyed riding his bike with lots of neighbor boys and played football in his big front yard. At the age of 9 the family moved into the Newton house. He found another group of neighborhood guys to hang around with and they enjoyed trading baseball cards and going to the park. He mainstreamed to Jordan Junior High and made more life long friendships. He got his first motorcycle at the age of 15 and used it to travel to school and work. After Scott went to Vocational High School in downtown Minneapolis his friends still included him in their weekend of camping and "socializing" where there may or may not have been beer involved. At vocational school, Scott signed up for pattern making as his vocational choice. He excelled and had projects entered at the State Fair. He graduated in 1969. He drove a banana yellow Chevy Nova after high school and always regretted selling that car. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, canoeing and helped his dad and brother build a log cabin at the family property on the Mississippi river. Many good times were spent at the cabin with family and friends. Scott's longest job was working at J.R. Jones where he did custom work for companies and was asked for by name to do work in then Radisson owner Curt Carlson's private residence. He did custom work at the Radisson Hotels, Rupert's bar, The Black Forest Inn and Toby's in Hinckley to name a few. He did the wooden bars at the Twin's stadium and worked on the Kirby Puckett wall. He was asked to do most of the high money jobs at Jones because they trusted him to get the job done accurately without costly mistakes. He did most of the wood work in his home including kitchen cabinets and household furniture. He enjoyed making wood project for the family. Sue and Scott married in 2001 after 9 years of being together. Scott's family of three boys increased by one more son and a new twist, a daughter. Their family grew as the kids began having kids and he loved being a "Papa". He had a special relationship with each of the grand kids and was thrilled once again when he became a great grandpa! Sue and Scott enjoyed many camping and fishing trips and traveling around the country to visit family or just vacationing. He spent lots of time at their place up north in Pathfinder Village with friends and many trips with the grand kids and of course his best buddy, their dog Brandi. Scott made so many friends along his life journey and he always made an effort to help. He cherished his family and was so proud of each of them. Even when he was getting sicker and weaker he always was more concerned how the family was dealing with his illness, especially Sue. Scott wanted to take care of her instead of her taking care of him and wanted to make sure all the kids and grand kids would be okay. Before his passing he had long conversations with Sue about each of the family members and told her they are all strong and they will all be okay. He was loved by all and will be missed.
