Dodie Marie Green

Age 58 of St. Paul, passed Away February 18, 2020. Survived by her husband of 40 years, Jamie; sons, Jimmy (Willow), David and Jason; granddaughter, Synthea; father, Patrick Duffy; 7 siblings. Preceded in death by her mother, Mary Duffy and 2 siblings. Co-owner of St. Paul Bagelry. Amazing wife, mother, grandma, sister and friend. Memorial service 2:00PM Friday, February 28 (gathering begins at 1:00PM) at EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN CENTER, 7777 University Ave NE, Spring Lake Park. Memorials preferred. Dodie was loved by everyone because she loved everyone. She would give you a bed to sleep in and the shirt off her back for a blanket. She was everyone's friend. Everywhere we went it seemed like someone knew her. She touched so many lives in so many different ways. Dodie always wanted to help. If you reached out she was there at the drop of a hat. She was an amazing wife. Jamie was always happy as long as Dodie was nearby. He knew he was going to marry her from the moment he laid eyes on her. They were an incredible team! She was a natural mother. It seemed so easy for her. She could take any problem and find a solution and turn it into something positive with ease. She was the best listener and the best shoulder to cry on. She gave amazing hugs! She had an incredible laugh, a beautiful smile and an incredibly loud voice. You could hear her from a mile away. Whether it was at a sporting event cheering on her nieces and nephews or just calling her kids in to eat dinner from the park there was no mistaking her voice. Sometimes she'd cheer so loud it was embarrassing. Dodie never judged anyone. Every person was equally important to her. She loved unconditionally. Dodie loved to dance and sing. She celebrated every day. She was the best grandma. Thea loved her so much. They would paint and draw and bake cookies. She was an amazing baker! She was never happier then when she was with her granddaughter. She taught Thea compassion and love and gave her way too many popsicles. She was a great friend and a great mentor. She was very involved in her church and dedicated to her faith. She truly was a modern day saint. Dodie will be missed by so many. But she would also want everyone to celebrate her life. Eat some cake, listen to supertramp and dance in the rain.
