Diane Margaret Phillips

Diane M. Phillips of Richfield, Minnesota was born on November 12, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Robert and Joanne (Hoskins) Welch. Diane was baptized as an infant and later confirmed her faith in her Savior Jesus Christ as a youth, both at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church of Minneapolis. Diane received her education in the Minneapolis Public School System and was a graduate of the Minneapolis Central High School class of 1979. Diane was employed at Rainbow Foods then Cub Foods for 28 years. Diane loved spending time with her family, especially her daughters, Ryanne and Erin. Diane was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed watching them on TV. She loved going on trips with family to places like Myrtle Beach and to northern Idaho where her maternal grandparents used to reside. Growing up there were family vacations to Idaho nearly every year. Diane loved the mountains and the ocean and being outdoors with nature. Very much an animal lover, Diane as a child, was many times followed home by a dog. She loved being on the water fishing and was quite the fisherwoman. Diane enjoyed conversations with friends and family and spending time viewing God's creation, including looking at the night sky, especially for the Northern Lights, and watching for storms. She loved the music of Pink Floyd. Diane M. Phillips, Age 63 of Richfield (formerly of Minneapolis), was called home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on December 24th, 2024. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Joanne and brother David Welch. She is survived by her Daughters Ryanne Phillips and Erin Phillips; sister Barbara and brother-in-law John Haer of Lakeville, MN, brother Daniel and his wife Amy Welch of Glencoe MN. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diane was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. We give thanks to God our Father through Jesus Christ, our Lord, for our sister Diane. The memorial service for Diane is scheduled for January 31, 2025 at 11am, with visitation to begin at 10am.
