Debra Susan Peters

Debra "Debbie" Peters, 64, of Edina, passed away 12/02/2022 She was the root of the vine that kept family and friends connected and will be dearly missed. There was nothing Debbie loved more than her family. Beyond her parents and siblings, she had a genuine love for her many extended family members. She took great pride in being a fun aunt, and later, great-aunt, enjoying each of the many updates that occur as kids grow older. She will be remembered for her outgoing personality, and her love of Mickey, Minnie, and all things Disney. Her smile and welcoming personality made her a friend to many, including her housemates at REM Lily and coworkers throughout the years. Debbie enjoyed traveling, whether some very special trips to her beloved Disney World, or simply a few miles down the road to see a display of Christmas lights. She could often be found watching a Disney or Hallmark movie, along with all of the Minnesota sports teams, and later, the Denver Broncos. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially dogs, and was most interested on updates from the canine members of the family, including her dearest Blossom, along with Indy, Lucky, Thor and Maverick. She loved everything about the holiday season. And while her family is sad to say goodbye to her, especially this time of year, we are happy to think of her reunited with her parents for Christmas. She will be forever loved and remembered for the warmth of her smile, her joy in conversing, her laughter at teasing, the strength of her hugs, and her all-encompassing love of those she knew best. Preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Marilyn Peters. Survived by three siblings: Mike (Jean) Peters, Julie (Mike) Polack, and Lisa (Tom) Brekke; seven nieces and nephews: Michael (Erin) Peters, Jackie (Edwin) Sanchez, Carly Peters, Eric (Erika) Polack, Devon (Tyler) Goulding, Adam Polack, and Kelsey (Adler) Galbrecht; and eight grandnephews: Jacob, Jackson, Cameron, Andrew, Landon, Waylon, Wylder, and Luke. Her internment will take place in a private ceremony of immediate family with a celebration of life to be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Minnesota's Opportunity Partners. 5500 Opportunity Court, Minnetonka MN 55343
