David Earl Anderson

David was born on September 9, 1947 in St. Paul, MN the oldest child of Earl and Florence Anderson. He graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1965. He attended Bethany Missionary Training Center in Bloomington, MN and graduated in 1968. While there he met his future wife Elaine. They were married at North Heights Lutheran church in 1970. After finishing Dave's internship at Douglas Chapel in Minneapolis, they served as Missionaries for 10 years in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Bethany in Bloomington, McAllen, Texas, and Matehuala, Mexico. Upon returning to the states he worked in Mc Allen, Texas for Palmer Building Supply and Fesco Oil Company and then in the printing industry in Richfield, Edina, and the last 30 years in the bindery for Bethany Press International in Bloomington, MN. After living in Richfield, Bloomimgton, and Lakeville for many years Dave and Elaine moved to Burnsville Parkway Co-op. While living there for the past nine and a half years many new friendships developed. He served the community as part of the Wood Shop Committee, Security Team, the Evening and Weekend Maintenance Team and also enjoyed Tuesday evening Bible studies and playing Wii Bowling. Dave was a handy man and was willing to help out wherever he could. Dave enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Trips to Switzerland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Florida, Missouri, New Mexico and all the states visited while traveling through site seeing. He was an avid Vikings fan. The past 5 years he has enjoyed relaxing weekends and vacation days at the camper in Waseca, Mn reading, resting, bike riding, taking walks, playing games, and visiting with family and fellow campers. His faith has remained strong after being diagnosed with Melanoma in March of 2023. Throughout two surgeries, all the treatments and the spread of cancer to his bones nd then to his brain. He has never turned from the commitment he made in high school o follow Christ. He was a man of faith and prayer. He was a loving husband and father. Trustworthy, faithful, dependable and hard working with a dry sense of humor. He was preceded in death by parents Earl and Florence Anderson. Survived by wife Elaine, son James (Sheila), son Shawn (Katja), daughter Sarah (Ken Egan), and son Jeremy (Patricia). 12 grandchildren Thomas (Alyssa), Jasmine (Noah), Brianna (Matt), Josiah (Bethany), Micah, Lianna, Mariah, Sophia, Ashley, Nick, Kyla, and Mirabelle. 6 great-grandchildren Michael, James, Iris, Levi, Lani, and Oliver. Brothers Paul and Mark (Inez), sisters Cheryle (David Nix), Gayle (Rick Carroll), Susan (Alex Sze), and Karen (Saul Selby). Aunts Rosa, Marie and Elizabeth Anderson, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
