Cynthia "Cindy" L. (Nordenstrom) Andrew, 78, of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Cindy was born on September 28, 1947, in Minneapolis to Virgil and Viola Nordenstrom. She grew up in Cambridge. After graduating from Minnehaha Academy, she attended Oak Hills Christian College and received her degree in Business Administration from St. Catherine University in St. Paul. In 1976, she married John Andrew, and they were married for 39 years until his death in 2015. They had three children during their marriage, Philip, Joanna, and Lisa. Cindy worked as an administrative assistant for over 15 years for Fairview Health Services and Bloomington Public Schools and was known for her attention to detail and organizational skills. She enjoyed hosting and attending Bible studies, reading novels, singing hymns, playing the piano, baking - especially at Christmas time, and serving in various roles at church throughout her life. The most evident thing about Cindy was her faithful heart and unwavering commitment, steadfast devotion, and genuine love for Jesus Christ. She read devotions and prayed every day, studied the Word, and placed verses on notecards around her home. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren showering them with endless cuddles. Her legendary "I love you" presents were given often "just because" to her family and friends. Cindy will be remembered for her kindness and dedication to her faith and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son, Philip Andrew (Jennifer) of Burnsville, daughters, Joanna Andrew of Illinois, and Lisa (Kenny) Chan of Shoreview; grandchildren, Jacob and Kayla Andrew, Stella Andrew and Noah Carreno, Toby, Ty, and Talia Chan; and her sister, Gwendolyn Nordenstrom of Duluth. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, her parents, Virgil and Viola Nordenstrom, brother, Kris Nordenstrom, and granddaughter, Joyleigh Chan. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21 at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel, 9940 Bush Lake Rd., Bloomington, Minnesota. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Dawn Valley Memorial Park.
