Clinton Arthur Sawinski February 8, 1935 - July 22, 2025 Clinton Arthur Sawinski passed peacefully to heaven on July 22, 2025, at home, surrounded by family. Clint was born in Racine, Wisconsin to Margaret and Johann Sawinski. St. John's church and Lutheran High School were formative in Clint's life. It was at Racine Lutheran High where he met his future bride, Patricia Ruth Petersen. They were the class of 1953 homecoming king and queen. Clint captained the Lutheran High Crusaders basketball team and baseball team, leading them to many amazing victories. Enlisting in the Navy out of high school, he was called to active duty in 1954, serving on Naval Destroyer USS Leary DDR 879. Afterwards he attended Marquette University. Married in 1957, Clint and Pat started their family. They moved to where his career spanned decades in engineering and sales management with the J.M. Grimstad Company. They raised their four children in the Minnetonka area where Clint enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting trips, and coaching youth hockey. Marriage, family, and faith were his lifelong priority. Clint is preceded in death by his eldest son, Clinton Jon Sawinski, Jr. (2019). He is survived by wife Pat, sons Gregg (Nathalie) Sawinski, Mark (Janice) Sawinski, daughter Jan (Dan) Ochsner, daughter in law Beth Sawinski, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was thankful to have been given 90 years, and he was ready to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His confirmation Bible verse was from the book of John chapter 4:14, "but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." We love you, Dad. Your reward is in Heaven. The family is grateful to the cardiac unit of Park Nicollet Methodist, and for the nurses and caregivers of home hospice. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Racine Lutheran High School ( www.racinelutheran.org ) or Cross View Lutheran Church, Edina, Minnesota ( crossview.net ).
