Clifford Pavlak

Pavlak, Clifford G. Age 75 of Minnetonka. Cliff was born 9-25-34 and passed into our Lord's hands on 10-1-09. He grew up in Detroit, MI. Graduating from Southeastern High School and attended Wayne State University. He was drafted into the Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, OK. Following his discharge he returned to Detroit and worked for the Michigan Inspection Bureau. In 1967 he was hired as a salesman for Aeroquip Corp and transferred to the Minneapolis area. Cliff was influential in organizing the Glen Lake Gals youth softball league where he was also a coach for his daughters' teams. After retiring in 1992 he enjoyed traveling and other family activities. Cliff was a friend of Dr. Bob and Bill W., volunteered for the Alzheimer's Assoc. and enjoyed playing Santa during the Holiday Season. He is survived by his loving wife and soul mate, Marilynn (Higgins); his children, Lori (Steve McCloskey), Tami (Steve Galvin), Nancy (Jessica Brandt), and Steve (Kari) Pavlak; his grandchildren, Emily , Nicholas, Morgan, Kelly, Anna and Grace; his sister, Annabelle Malotke (MI); sister- in-law, Darlene Higgins (Dennis Olsen); brother-in-law, Jim (Mary Jean) Higgins; nieces, Sandy Malotke and Cindy Papasian (MI); and nephews, Cristopher and Nickolas Wraspir (their father Lee Wraspir), Jeff and John Higgins, Mpls; also 5 great nieces/nephews and 12 great great nieces/nephews in MI. Preceded in death by his parents, Angeline and Walter Pavlak; brother, Walter, Jr.; sister, Carolyn; "brother"-in-law, Richard Malotke (MI) and in-laws, Jim and Clara Higgins (Mpls). Memorial Service Monday (TODAY) 6 PM with visitation beginning 4 PM at the Washburn-McReavy, Strobeck Johnson Chapel, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins. Private interment Hillside Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Dr. Richard Moore, Dr. John Opsahl and Dr. Steven Rousey for their compassionate care over these past few years. We also want to express our appreciation to the nursing staff at Methodist Hospital units 3N&S, 4E, the staff at DaVita St. Louis Park and Park Nicollet Hospice. Please No Flowers - memorials preferred to Nicollet Chapter AA, Diabetes Assoc. of MN or donor's choice. Wear something blue, it was Cliff's favorite color.
