Chelsea L Korsh

Korsh, Chelsea L. Passed away much too soon on September 5, 2017 at the age of 47. Born November 9th, 1969, Chelsea Lea Thomas is the only child of devoted parents and future best friends, Lynn and Mary Thomas. Chelsea spent the majority of her childhood in Mankato, MN where she enjoyed activities that included golf, dance, and cheerleading. Inspired by her father, Chelsea developed a passion for music. While in high school, her family followed an opportunity to move to Uppsala, Sweden where Chelsea made life-long friends and was first introduced to her love of Lypsyl, a chap stick that she used on a daily basis ever since. After high school, Chelsea continued her education at Minnesota State University and earned her CPA. It was shortly after College that Chelsea met the love of her life, Michael L. Korsh. Hopes and dreams were shared, which included the love of family, friends, and the Minnesota Vikings. Michael & Chelsea were united in marriage on September 12, 1998 and resided in Edina, MN. In their early years of marriage the young couple enjoyed life to the fullest and dreamed of starting a family of their own. Hope and determination turned into love and excitement as the couple welcomed their first set of twins. Jane and Jillian Korsh were born on March 9, 2001 and Chelsea discovered yet another type of love, a mother's love. A few months later, 18 to be exact, the family was blessed with yet another set of twins. Frank and Angela Korsh were welcomed to the quickly expanding household on September 9, 2002. As the children grew older, Chelsea devoted all of her time to managing her family needs which included endless volunteer hours, chauffeuring, problem solving and devoted wife. Chelsea's personality was infectious and was spread to all who knew her by her quick wit and beautiful smile. Chelsea's life was a blessing for those who knew her. She was beautiful inside and out. The mark she has left on this world is as deep as the grief of everyone who knew and loved her. Chelsea is survived by her husband, Michael Korsh; parents, Mary & Lynn Thomas; her children, Jane, Jillian, Frank, and Angela Korsh; and other extended families. In lieu of flowers, (feel free) to make a donation to Alzheimer's Disease Research or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
