Boulay, Charlotte Peterson Charlotte (Curtin) Peterson Boulay, 84, mother, step mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to God on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, surrounded by 30 of her loving family members. The long-time Edina resident was preceded in death by -- and now reunited with -- husbands, Roy Peterson and Thomas Boulay; parents, Erwin and Agatha Curtin; brothers, Erwin and Tommy Curtin; infant child, Jimmy Peterson and granddaughter, Crystal Peterson. She is survived by 6 children, Mary "M.J." (Bob) Bauer, Edina; Dave (Marian) Peterson, Minneapolis; Tom (Sheryl) Peterson, Eden Prairie; Liz Hollway, St. Louis Park; Katie (Andy) Shillock, Eden Prairie; and John Peterson, Le Center; 5 step sons, Tom Boulay Jr., Stillwater; Pat (Carolyn) Boulay, Minneapolis; John (Ann) Boulay, Bloomington; Tim (Nancy) Boulay, Silverthorne, CO; Dan (Judy) Boulay, Bloomington; 25 grandchildren, Noelle (Peterson) Varecka, Brian Peterson, Mike Peterson, Amanda (Peterson) Schneider, Ashley (Peterson) Deckman, Greta Bauer, Blake Bauer, Rob Hollway, Phil Hollway, Hannah Hollway, Kristy Shillock, Roy Shillock, Michelle (Boulay) Hansen, Anna (Boulay) Nahashon, Erin (Boulay) Zobel, Katie Grace Boulay, Sam Boulay, Ben Boulay, Bridgett Boulay, Tim Boulay Jr.,Maddie Boulay, Emily Boulay, Dan Boulay Jr., Luke Boulay, Lily Boulay; 9 great-grandchildren, David Varecka, Ben Varecka, Robbie Varecka, Brizz Peterson, Penelope Hansen, Ava Hansen, Gwyneth Hansen, Calvin Zobel, Andrew Boulay and long-time friend and caregiver Debbie Kordiak. Charlotte attended Annunciation Grade School and Academy of Holy Angels High School. After a brief career at Minnegasco she became a devoted wife to Roy for 23 years and Tom for 35 years and mother and step mother to 12 children. She was a wonderful grandmother and a tireless spectator at sporting events, school performances and other times when a family member needed a fan. She had many dear friends from bridge club and investment club that she shared her life stories with. Charlotte cared about Faith, Family and Friends. Her sudden death came after a wonderful day with some of her daughters and granddaughters getting a pedicure/manicure and having her eyebrows "done" for the first time, followed by an enjoyable dinner at a favorite restaurant. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Therese in Hopkins for their wonderful care as well as the staff from Promise Care including Jessie Olson and Kristy Yu.
