A Tribute to a Remarkable Life It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles M Walker, who departed this world on June 25,2025 at the age of 82. A beacon of kindness, wisdom, and strength, Charles left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with them. A Life Well LivedBorn on April 9, 1943, in Minneapolis, Minnesota Charles grew up in Minneapolis, Detroit, Rock Island, and a few other states. Our family travelled and lived in many places, so he had a great chance to learn about other cultures. From an early age, their remarkable talents and compassionate nature were evident to all. Whether excelling academically, nurturing friendships, or contributing to the community, Charles embodied qualities that inspired admiration and respect. In their professional life, Charles was a Barber by trade and an artist and craftsman for hobbies, dedicating decades to their field with tireless passion and unwavering dedication. Charles and his Barbershop always contributed to the community, taking part in the different Northeast celebrations and parades. His door was always open to anyone who needed a friend, a hand, a couch and more. Beyond their work, Charles was a mentor and guide, offering support, encouragement, and wisdom to countless individuals. A Loving Family MemberFamily was the cornerstone of Charles' life. A devoted husband, brother, stepdad uncle friend, Charles cherished the bonds of love and kinship, creating a warm and welcoming haven for those they held dear. Their wisdom, humor, and endless generosity were constant in the lives of their loved ones. He loved his jokes, and he loved fishing, and he loved to do interesting things just to do something nobody else did. He also liked to be a little scared when different holidays came around. Charles is survived by David Walker, Peggy Jo Hachman, Jeanie Gibson, and Carole Larson and Jay Gibson. His many stepchildren, nephews and nieces. He joins his family in heaven, Mother and Father, 2 wives Nancy and Denice, girlfriends Lisa and many of the Grandparents and in laws that predeceased him. And cooper and knuckles our pets. Passions and InterestsCharles had many interests and hobbies that enriched their life and brought joy to those around them. Whether [examples of hobbies, e.g., gardening, painting, traveling, cooking], they brought their characteristic dedication and creativity to everything they pursued. A lover food and drink, literature, music, or nature], Charles could often be found Making his pirate things, that we started years go. He had quite the menagerie of art. cars to knives. He was a collector of sorts as well. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their joy in sharing these interests with others was boundless. Community ContributionsCharles always felt for Northeast Minneapolis since that is where he worked the longest. So, he contributed to everything from the Lions Club to the local police. He was a Veteran and really felt for anyone who was a veteran. LegacyThough they may have left this physical world, Charles's spirit lives on in the cherished memories of all who knew them. Their legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. They will be remembered as a crazy but Loving to all family and friends, a pillar of strength, role mode] who touched lives with grace and compassion. They taught us to love deeply, work passionately, and give selflessly. Rest in peace, my dear brother. You will forever be missed, but your memory will remain etched in our hearts.
