Charleen Natalie Wilkins

Wilkins, Charleen (Char) 95, of Edina Passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, November 10, 2024. Born 1-16-29 in Mabel, MN to Leland & Gladys (Christopherson) Wickett. On May 6,1950 she married the "Love of her Life", Harvey Wilkins, who proceeded to heaven in 2007. Survived by children, Mark (Beth) Wilkins, Michael (Kellie) Wilkins and Wendy (Roy) Reynolds; five grandchildren, Tim (Amy) Wilkins, Tara (Erik) Sheridan, Jared Wilkins, Robbie Reynolds, and Joey (Kate) Reynolds. Six great grandchildren, Evelyn and Vivian Sheridan, Amaria, Ellianna and Aliza Reynolds, Bayli (Peter) Johnston. Brothers Jerry Wickett (deceased) and Robert Wickett (deceased). Harvey & Charleen were the first members to sign the charter for the Lutheran Church of the Master, Edina. Spent many winter months in Naples Fl and were members of Emmanual Lutheran Church in Naples. Members of Woodlake Lutheran Church, Richfield & current member of Normandale Lutheran Church, Edina. After years of volunteering at Ebenezer by sharing conversation and a library cart with the residents, Charleen then served on the Board. She also served on the board of Vesterheim Museum, Decorah IA. Char also donated much of her time over the years to various church activities including teaching bible and Sunday School. Two of her favorite activities included Ikebana a style of Japanese flower arrangement and Rosemaling a form of traditional Norwegian painting. Char also enjoyed golfing with the Braemar Woman's 9-hole league for many years. Dedicated time to her mom over the years, even missing a year of high school. Char still graduated on time and had the honor of being homecoming queen. Her never-ending support for her husband, kids and grandkids was special. She touched many lives. Char was known for her wonderful meals and best of all her cookies. Everything she did was given unconditionally and with a big heart. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Shriners Children's Hospital or Charity of donor's choice. Visitation Monday December 2 at10am, Service follows at 11: 00 am, followed by lunch at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 West 50th St. & Hwy. 100. Graveside service Tuesday Dec 3 at 1PM at Lutheran Cemetery, Decorah IA.
