Maeser, Carrie Louise "Care Bear" Our blessed Angel that dropped to us thru heaven's door, was called home into the loving arms of her savior on January 23, 2016 after a courageous 25 year battle fighting the terrible affects of MS. Carrie was born August 9, 1967 at Methodist Hospital, to Robert Jr. & Marlene, she was the youngest of (3), with two older brothers Robert III & Michael. She grew up in Bloomington MN, graduating from Jefferson HS in 1985, and then moved with her parents to Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma State University, graduating in 1991 with a BA degree in Interior Design, She was a great designer, working in her field until the disabling effects of MS caused her early retirement in 1997. She continued to live at home until 2005 when she moved into a group home (Eriksmoen Cottages) in Burnsville, MN where she proudly lived until the end. We can't thank her room mates, the many PCA's, nurses & the Eriksmoen family enough for their loving care. Carrie always had a positive attitude & never did she ever complain about her disease or what it was taking away from her. She loved all, was loved by all, & was our hero! Carrie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert Sr. & Dorothy and John & Mabel Hoistad. She is survived by & will be deeply missed by her parents, Robert Jr. & Marlene, her brothers Robert III (Michelle), Michael (Mary); nieces Ali, Dani & Nikkl; nephews Jon, Zach, Jake, Luke; and many aunts, uncles & cousins. Carrie was grateful for ail of the cards, prayers & visits from her many friends and from the members & her Pastor Robert Braudt at River Hills UMC in Burnsville. Arrangements are being handled by washburn-mcreavy.com - Edina Chapel, 5000 W 50th, 952-920-3996. With review & visitation at the Chapel on January 28, 2016, from 4-7 p.m. The Funeral will be held at Riverhills UMC, 11100 River Hills Dr., Burnsville MN on January 29, 2016 at 11:00 with a luncheon to follow at Noon. There will be a Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment with the family will be later at Dawn Valley Memorial Cemetery, Bloomington MN.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to National MS Society, Mn. Chapter 20012th Ave. So. 55415.
