Seidelmann, Carolyn B. (Lickfett) Age 82, of Minnetonka, passed away March 11, 2024. Survived by husband, Rev. Daniel Seidelmann; sons T. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996 Carolyn's life was filled with happiness, style and grace. Carolyn was born in Madelia, Minnesota on March 23, 1941 to Arnold and Ethel Lickfett. She was welcomed by her devoted and loving sister Edith (Edee) into a warm and comfortable home. In her childhood and teen years, she settled into a happy and idyllic, 1950's small town life; ice skating in the winter, movies with friends at the local theater, and summers on Birch Lake. After graduating from high school in 1959, she attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. Within the first month, she met the love of her life, Dan; beginning their life together of nearly 65 years. Carolyn became an elementary school teacher upon graduating from Luther, and became a pastor's wife when she married Dan on April 6, 1963. Carolyn valued the many lifelong friendships she developed over the years serving at congregations in Minnesota and Wisconsin. They had especially fond memories of raising their young family of three sons in Hastings and Madison. Carolyn was a loving mother to her three sons and their spouses, and proud grandmother of six grandchildren. She is survived by husband Rev. Daniel Seidelann, sons Mark (Sarah Bamford) of Duluth, John (Linnea Larson) of Edina, Dave (Jill Lindeman) of Saint Paul, and grandchildren George, Katherine, Josephine, Charlie, Sofia, and William. She also remained close to her surviving sister Edee (Jack) Waters and their extended family. As the song from White Christmas goes: "Sisters, sisters, there were never such devoted sisters". Carolyn had many creative pursuits. She enjoyed shopping and selecting outfits, dressing just right for the occasion. She was an interior designer and decorator. With a gifted eye for color and patterns, Carolyn was able to discern subtle differences in shades of white and gray others might not detect. Carolyn was also a gourmet chef, and she loved holidays and gatherings with family and friends. Beginning with her very first Brownie camera, Carolyn enjoyed a lifelong interest in photography. Over the years she grew to embrace the digital age, creating numerous books to tell stories with pictures. Carolyn and Dan traveled together to many places in Europe including trips to Italy, France and Spain. They also visited all 50 state capitols. As everyone who knew her would attest, Carolyn was beautiful, personable and had sparkling eyes. She was elegant, dignified, kind, and gracious. We are all deeply saddened to see her go, but joyful in the memory of her rich and wonderful life. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel in Minneapolis at 1 PM Friday, March 22 with a reception to follow.
