Ms. Carol Ann Irene Rohloff

Carol Ann Irene (Paulson) Rohloff age 92, of Golden Valley, MN passed away on October 1, 2023, peacefully with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her father Alfred A. Paulson Sr., mother Emma (Larson-Paulson) Lehne, step-father Olaf Lehne, husband Dale Rohloff, sons Danny Rohloff and James Rohloff, sons-in law Steven Weeks and Jerry Stiele, daughter-in-law Joan Rohloff, infant grandson Michael Hokr, sisters and brothers-in-law Eleanor (Ingvald) Tofte, Ruth (Irvin) Buntje, Jennieva "Jenny" (Theodore Bakken and Henry Hanson) Bakken, brothers and sister-in-law, Elmer Paulson, Bennie (Beth) Paulson and Alfred "Junior" Paulson, sisters-in-law Shirley Olson and Pamela Rohloff, and special friend Robert E. Holden. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in law Leanne (Keith) Katnis, Mary Ann (Robert) Holden, Cindy Stiele, and Laurie (Thomas) Buck, grandchildren Jason (Sean), Merisa, Rebecca, Darren (Sarah), Warren (Beth), Vanessa (Clay), Jessica (Brian), Jamie (Nathan), Jenna (Tim), Jodie (Cory), Courtney, Robert (Kelly), Kate (Evan), Kevin (Amber), Linda (Jeff), Kyle and Thomas, 39 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Stanley (Darlene) Rohloff, Gary (Sharon) Rohloff and Harold Olson, many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. Carol Ann grew up on a farm outside of Appleton, MN until her family moved to town when she was 7 years old. She was united in marriage to Dale Rohloff on June 16, 1950 at the Drywood Lutheran Church in Hegbert Township of Swift County and they had six children. After their marriage, they farmed near Danvers, MN until 1962 when they moved to Minneapolis and settled in Golden Valley in 1964. In addition to raising their large family, Carol Ann also worked outside the home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, fishing, flowers, gardening, crafts, painting, watching birds at the feeders outside her windows, researching her family tree and spending time with family and friends. To Carol Ann, family was everything and she instilled that same sentiment in her children and grandchildren. Carol Ann will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. She will be forever loved. Special thanks to the Allina Hospice Program and Jenna Katnis for their assistance, guidance and support. Funeral Service to be held Thursday, October 12, 2023, 11:00 AM at Golden Valley Lutheran Church, 5501 Glenwood Avenue, Golden Valley, MN, with visitation 1 hour prior to service.
