Brian Bernard Brady

Brian Brady, age 78, died on December 28, 2023, at the U of MN Medical Center in Minneapolis. Brian was born on August 1, 1945, to Joseph & Genevieve Brady. He grew up in SE Minneapolis and attended Tuttle Elementary School, Marshall High School Class of 1963. Brian attended the University of Minnesota where he met Kathy and received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Minnesota in 1967 and an MBA in 1989 from Katz School of the University of St. Thomas. Brian & Kathy were married on April 27, 1968. They have three amazing children, John, Colleen and Patrick Brady and 4 grandchildren Colin, Gavin, Fiona & Penelope. Brian had a successful career as an electrical Engineer. His first job after graduation was with Control Data. From there he went on to positions with NSP, and several other tech companies including Onan/Cummins, Physical Electronics & MCT. Brian was also a dedicated volunteer serving the community, schools, churches, technical societies, friends & neighbors. He particularly loved working with the St. Anthony Village Schools and televising school & community events on cable access channels and helping students in the First Robotics program. Brian's service was recognized with many awards including the 2008 St. Anthony Villager of the Year. Brian was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Colleen, son John and his wife Tanya and their sons Colin & Gavin, son Patrick and his wife Amy and their daughters Fiona & Penelope, brothers Michael (Jean) & Dennis (Karen), Rev. Robert Fitzpatrick, nieces & nephews: Stephanie Ehlers, Mitchell Ehlers, Cindi Spurgeon (Cyril Barnert), Mark & David Brady. He will be missed by all who knew him and his kindness & compassion. Visitation 4-7 PM Monday, Jan. 8th at Washburn-McReavy-Holcomb-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home, 515 Hwy 96 W., Shoreview, MN. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, Jan. 9th (visitation 10-11 AM) at Church of Corpus Christi, 2131 Fairview Ave., N., Roseville, MN. Interment St. John's Cemetery Little Canada.
