Brendan Perry Dow

Brendan Perry Dow, age 26, of Maple Grove Passed away October 8th, 2022. Brendan fought a battle with chronic illness since childhood that led to a diagnosis of cancer recently. The Cancer was removed, and he was on the road to recovery when he was taken from us suddenly. Through his battle with cancer, he remained positive and his faith in God was strong, he was so excited to get healthy and was making plans for the future. Brendan graduated from Robbinsdale Armstrong high school in 2014 and graduated from Iowa State University in 2018. He was on the path to a great career. Brendan had a heart of gold, his smile lit up the room. He loved to tell jokes and pull pranks; The kid was always in character. He played hockey and golf for many years and loved both! When he was younger, he would always say, "I Love the smell of the ice." He also practiced MMA Brazilian jiu -jitsu for a number of years. He was looking forward to getting back to the gym as soon as he could. Brendan loved spending time with family and friends. From watching UFC (his favorite) or football on Sundays, to attending car shows with his Grandpa and hanging out enjoying the smell of the garage. One of our things we did recently was go on long walks. It always amazed me how many people would go out of their way to say hello to Brendan, we spoke about it and he said," You have to walk tall, look up and smile and they will say hello to you too, Mom." The Kid loved long drives and long walks that is where he did most of his nonstop chatter. Brendan is survived by his Mother Maggie Dow of Maple Grove, Grandparents Bruce and Barb of Crystal Uncle Jason and Denise, Tanner, Nick, Tatum of Crystal, His Great Auntie Lori and family, Uncle Bill Miller and family, God Daughter Cait Quinn, Jude and Jana Quinn and their families Betty and family Pam and family Heather, Joey and Nick and their families and so many other friends and family and friends who became our families you know you are and we love you all. Friday October 21st there will be a visitation 4:00-8:00 PM at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal, MN. Funeral will be held Satuday October 22nd at 11:00 AM, visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Calvary Lutheran Church of Golden Valley, 7520 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, MN. A reception will follow the service, which will then be followed by a graveside service and burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 5125 W. Broadway, Crystal, MN.
