Blake W. Roberts

Roberts, Blake 21, from Edina, MN and the beautiful snow and mountains of Colorado just wants to tell everyone "Peace", as he always did. Blake died early Saturday morning in a tragic car accident. Our beautiful boy was born on April 5, 1991. Parents Bill and Ann Roberts, sister Shae and brother Kai love him so very much. Blake's Grandmas Peg Roberts and Joan Westlake, Aunts and Uncles Dan Westlake, Robin and Michael Storey, Ann and Jack Enright, Nancy and Brent Friendshuh, Michael and Sallyann Roberts; cousins - Kate, Alison, Jack, Andrew, Cole, Connor, Michael, Maggie, Tom and John and so many friends all know he is going on to make his next home with Grandpa Bob and Grandpa Bill in Heaven. Blakerman followed his love of the mountains and the snow to Colorado. His great big beautiful smile and kind heart touched everyone. His snowboarding buddies from the Twin Cities area, Australia and places in between had good times white water rafting, trout fishing, cliff jumping, cooking up feasts but most of all 'shredding the pow' and taking the jumps and rails wherever snow was best that day in gorgeous Summit County. Blake was kind hearted and sensitive. His cousins, friends, sibs etc. meant a great deal to him, often looking up to him in wide-eyed admiration. Fun and free spirited, he lived life to the fullest but always on his own terms. It was obvious to us that we meant the world to him. He never left home or hung up the phone without saying 'I love you'. Blake, we love you to the moon and back and can't wait to see your beautiful face and feel the magic of being in your company. You are kicking it in Heaven now charming the wings off the angels and entertaining the Big Guy...Peace Out. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Hyland Ski & Snowboard area in memory of Blake Roberts OR to the family directly for a Mpls Park & Rec memorial in Blake's honor. Funeral service to be held Friday, October 5th at 2 PM with a gathering of friends and family one hour prior at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave South in Minneapolis.
