Angela Marie Newcomb

Angela Marie Newcomb, known by most as Angie or Ang, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2024, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN at the age of 37. Surrounded by her loved ones in her final moments, she left this world far too soon after a brave battle with a serious illness. Born on July 26, 1987, in Brainerd, MN, and growing up in the northern Twin Cities suburbs, Angie was the youngest of five children, a cherished baby sister to her four older brothers. She graduated from Anoka High School in 2005 and spent her life exploring various career paths while traveling the country, including stints in Colorado, Texas, Utah, and Florida, eventually settling back in the Twin Cities to be near family. Recently, she embarked on a new career in software engineering, serving as a Software Quality Engineer for Municipal Parking Services-a role she was immensely proud of. Angie had dreams and ambitions for her future and was determined to achieve them. Her family took great pride in her accomplishments and admired the way she approached life with a bubbly, friendly, and inclusive spirit that touched everyone she met. Unapologetically weird, playful, adventurous, and joyful, she had an infectious laugh and a zest for life. Angie was loving, compassionate, and eager to help others. A true free spirit, she lived outside the box and was always willing to try new things. Her hobbies reflected her vibrant personality-she loved singing, writing, dancing awkwardly, cooking ethnic dishes, pranking people, practicing yoga, and watching cheesy Bollywood movies. A devoted family member, Angie cherished her time with loved ones. She was known as the fun aunt to her niece and nephews and always made time for family gatherings. Singing karaoke with her brothers was one of her favorite pastimes, bringing joy and laughter to the family. Angie is survived by her mother, Linda Erlandson; her father, Jon Newcomb; and her four older brothers, James, David, Paul, and Jon. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly. In her final days, when asked what was most important to her, Angie simply stated, "family." Her legacy of love and connection will forever remain in our hearts. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 15, from 4 to 5 PM, followed by a service at 5 PM at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, located at 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55443.
