Allan Jensen

Allan Jensen, 61, of Carver, MN died February 16, 2019 of a pulmonary embolism (PE) on the isle of San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. Allan was born in Lime Denmark on 9/7/1957 to Ellen and Jens Peter Jensen. In his youth Allan was an avid scuba diver finding many treasures under the sea in the Baltic and other European waters. He was a farm boy raised in small town DK, but was widely traveled and extremely cultured. He loved the arts including everything from Mozart to Metallica. Allan was a history buff and a voracious reader throughout his life. He favored rock and roll music, played the guitar, and attended countless amazing live concerts. Allan met Debra Rosenberg in Kalamazoo Michigan in Jan of 1982 and they were married in Jan of 1983. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was also fiercely proud of his Danish heritage, customs and traditions, which he passed onto his family. Allan got his college degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, MN. He worked in various capacities as a lead and an on the job trainer of people; and had a good eye for improved methods of production and safety. Over the course of his career, Allan worked at Gopher Resources, TSA and Amazon. Allan joined Cataract Lodge #2 in 2008, and subsequently the Scottish Rite. He was so very proud to be a Mason. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was a member of the Masonic Motorcycle Club International and local Chapter 24. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Allan mastered the backyard BBQ grill and the smoker. He loved making specialty dishes in the kitchen from the cookbooks of Julia Child, and in particular, French cuisine. Allan is survived by his wife Deb, daughter Lene Kiser, her husband Chad, bonus grands Kyla and Jagger, grandson Brody; his son Peter and fiancé Courtney Thingstad; his mother Ellen Jensen, his sister Annette Jensen, niece Ditte Staer, nephew Patrick Stentoft; Foreign exchange daughters Louise and Amalie Rosendahl; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Allan will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Services will be held on April 7th, 2019 at the Scottish Rite Temple at 2011 Dupont Ave. S, Minneapolis, MN. Visitation from 12-5PM with a Masonic Service at 1 PM.
