Aidan Patrick Barott

Aidan was born on May 29, 2005, and passed away on May 19, 2026, just ten days shy of his 21st birthday. Aidan was a gentle soul with a kind heart, a vivid imagination, and a smile that could brighten any room. He had a unique sense of humor and an uncanny ability to say something completely unexpected that would leave everyone laughing. His beautiful belly laugh was infectious, and hearing it was enough to make others laugh right along with him. Aidan loved music and proudly bowed to the gods of rock and roll. Whether it was Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Metallica, or another favorite band turned up loud, music was one of the many things that brought him joy. He was also a passionate gamer who loved both retro classics and modern games. Through gaming, he built friendships with people from all over the world and found communities where he could share his interests, humor, and generous spirit. Family meant everything to Aidan. He never missed a pizza night, loved spending time with those closest to him, and was known for his unforgettable hugs. An "Aidan hug" had a way of making life's worries disappear, even if only for a moment. His kindness, warmth, and genuine love for others made people feel accepted and valued. Despite the challenges life placed before him, Aidan faced them with courage and resilience. He often saw the good in people even when others could not. He wanted everyone to feel included, believed friendship was something worth giving freely, and always tried to find the best in those around him. Even when the world was not always kind, Aidan continued to meet it with compassion, understanding, and an open heart. His family is deeply proud of the young man he became. He followed his own path, overcame obstacles in his own way, and stood tall through difficult times. The strength he showed, the love he shared, and the kindness he carried throughout his life left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Even in passing, Aidan's caring spirit continues through the gift of organ donation, providing hope and healing to others. It is a final act of generosity that reflects the way he lived his life-thinking of others and giving from the heart. Aidan was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Edwin and Ken; his grandfather, Bill; and his cousin, Luke. He is survived by his loving mother, Katherine; his father, Jason (Ellen); his sister, Autumn; his brothers, Riley, Bennett, and Blake; his great-grandmothers, Marlys and Lucy; his grandmother, Carol; his grandparents, Jocelyn and Kevin, and Loren and Heidi; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and friendship. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in the memories he gave us, the laughter he shared, and the love he left behind. The world feels a little darker without his bright light in it, but that light lives on in all who knew and loved him. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Aidan.
