Tanya LaRee Yerich

Tanya Yerich, age 48, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, colleague, and friend, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021. Tanya was born in Stillwater, OK., spent her elementary years in Laramie, WY, and her high school years in Macomb, IL. She participated in basketball, softball, and volleyball in high school and continued to be an avid sports fan. She enjoyed watching professional football games [go Chiefs] as well as participating in 'betting pools', taking great pleasure in her wise choices. Tanya was her high school valedictorian, graduated from Carleton College magna cum laude with a music theory major and received an MBA from Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. Tanya married David in 2004 and they were blessed with two wonderful children, Grayson and Skylar; they were the joy of Tanya's life. The family loved to travel, and Tanya organized numerous exciting trips all over the world, including London, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Hungary and of course Disneyland, and Disney World! She was an expert at compiling beautiful photo books of the experiences for all to enjoy. Tanya had been in technology for over 21 years having a decorated career with Berbee/CDW and Microsoft. Tanya was known for her intelligence, calm demeanor in challenging situations, the caring and mentoring of her team and her smile and kindness that extended to everyone she met. Her husband, David, son, Grayson, daughter, Skylar, parents Judy and Melfried Olson, brother Travis Olson, sisters-in-law Kathy Yerich and Eileen Olson, and brother-in-law Fred Yerich as well as her many friends and colleagues will hold her memory close in their hearts, carrying on the loving traditions she started. Visitation will be December 20, 1-2 p.m. with funeral 2-3 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th & Highway 100, Edina, MN. A celebration will be held at Pinstripes, 3849 Gallagher Drive Edina, MN following the service from 4-7.
