Celebration of Life for Steve Fritz Steven M. Fritz unexpectedly left our world on Thursday May 15th, 2024 at age 61. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family. Steve was born on September 6, 1962 in St Louis Park Minnesota to father Robert Fritz and mother Margaret (Peggy) Fritz. He graduated from Coon Rapids Highschool in 1982 and obtained an associate degree in Machining. He was a loyal employee for many years at Twin City Die Casting. It was in high school that he met the love of his life, Lois Fritz (Martin). Together they were married in 1985 and lived in Coon Rapids, MN where they were blessed with three children - Jason, Megan, and Zach. Later in life Steve and Lois moved to Andover, MN and enjoyed their times hosting friends, family, and epic parties most don't remember (or won't dare to speak of). Steve loved people and you could always count on him for a good laugh. He was a big goofball who knew how to make people smile and make light of any situation or circumstance. He never shied away from having a good time and he enjoyed the small things in life. Steve also loved the MN Vikings football team. Despite the team's inability to hear Steve shouting plays and calls from the TV screen or stadium stands, he still cheered for them anyways and was a die-hard fan. Steve was reunited in heaven with his father Robert Fritz. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Lois Fritz, children Jason Fritz, Megan and Brandon Lee, Zach and Marit Fritz, and granddaughter Hailey Lee. He is also survived by his mother Margaret (Peggy) Fritz, siblings Mark (Sue) Fritz, Lynn (Tom) Holbrook, Scott (Bonnie) Fritz, Brian (Joan) Fritz, Diane (Jamie) Crannell, best friends Dan and Bev Bachler, and many other family and close friends. Steve's love, laughter, smile, incredible dance moves, and off-key singing will surely never be forgotten. In lieu of flowers, he asks that you enjoy a beer (or root beer) with your family and remember not to sweat the small stuff- family is the most important thing in life and he would do anything for just one more day with you! Visitation will place at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel on Tuesday May 21st from 2-3pm. A service to honor Steve will follow at 3pm. Attendees are asked to wear the color purple to the visitation and service in honor of Steve's favorite singer, Prince, and the Minnesota Vikings.
