Nancy (Pratt) Coash

Coash Nancy Elizabeth (Pratt) Coash, was born January 23, 1959 in Fargo, North Dakota. She graduated from North High School in Fargo where she was editor of the school newspaper. She then went on to spend her first year of college at Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. Her sophomore year she enrolled at the University of North Dakota where she graduated Cum Laude in the School of Journalism in 1981. While at the University she was an active member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. On January 3, 1981 she married Michael Chapman Coash, her one true love and soulmate, at The First Congregational Church in Fargo. After graduation they moved to Bismarck, ND and later to Minnetonka and then Eden Prairie, MN. Nancy was an active member of Chapter E, (MN), PEO, and served as Treasurer for many years. She was also very active at The Excelsior Congregational Church. She is survived by her husband, Michael; their daughters, Meeghan, a Junior at the University of North Dakota and Elizabeth, a Junior at Eden Prairie High School; her loyal friend and companion, Piper, her Scottish Terrier; her parents, George and Patti Pratt, Eden Prairie (formerly of Fargo); and her brother, Tom and his wife Kris and 2 nieces, Kathryn and Brenna, Sussex, WI. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Janice Johnson, Highland Park, IL; her father-in-law, Carl Coash, Boulder, CO; her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Coash and husband Rick Cobb of Nederland, CO; and her brother-in-law, Carlyle Coash, Boulder, CO. Nancy had a multitude of friends from all walks of life. She cherished them all. She will be remembered as someone who was always fun to be with, unselfish, loving and loyal. The most important things in her life were her husband and two daughters. Over the years she loved spending time with them at the family cabin on Pelican Lake, Detroit Lakes, MN. She was also an accomplished seamstress and would tackle any project. Her life was interrupted far too early by the onset of multiple sclerosis and its rapid progression. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed for her bright smile, loving manner and beautiful sparking blue eyes... God bless her memory.
