Jean Gayle Kesler

Jean Kesler (1947-2024) Jean Gayle Kesler, 76, of Bloomington, MN passed away on January 21, 2024. She was born in Winona, MN in 1947 to Orville and Solveig Byboth. Jean attended Winona Senior High before receiving her Bachelor of Computer Science degree, with honors from the University of Minnesota, Institute of Technology. Jean soon began working for what is now US Bank, as a programmer, managing features of the Hogan system. Jean took on many roles at US Bank including acquisitions, call center management, the Controllers team, and more. She was a Vice President and won the prestigious Five Star award, given to five impactful employees of excellence each year. Jean retired from US Bank in 2013. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her creations. She often would spend time with long-time friends or family over a good meal. She completed many DIY projects. She also loved traveling, a challenging puzzle, and would never miss a Gopher or Vikings football game. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Solveig (Williams) Byboth, and sister-in-law DeLores Byboth. She is survived by former husband David Kesler; brothers Dale Byboth, Lyle (Lori) Byboth; sisters Diane Webber, Karen Olson; son Christopher (Michelle) Kesler; daughter Kimberly (Leroy) Jones; granddaughter Jessica (Tyler) Ballard; step-grandchildren Samantha Jones, Adrianna Jones, and Cody (Elizabeth) Jones; many nieces, nephews, step-great-grandchildren, and dear friends. Please honor Jean by wearing your favorite sweatshirt/hoodie (MN team if you have one) to a celebration at Washburn-McReavy Dawn Valley Chapel in Bloomington on February 3 at 12:00 pm; 1:00 tribute, and lunch to follow.
