Carol Jasmer

Carol Jasmer, age 79 of Saint Croix Falls Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Regions Hospital in St Paul, MN. She was surrounded by family. Carol was born July 20, 1943 in Minneapolis to Richard & Matilda Robertson. Preceding her death were her parents Richard & Matilda. She is survived by her husband Jerome; children Dawn & Troy (Jodie); Grandchildren Dustin (Maranda); Amanda (Cody); Lyndsey (Jeff); Mickayla; Great Grandchildren Aurora, Noah, Mya, Madelyn & Cooper; Siblings - Jerry (Sharon) and Sandy. Carol graduated from Edison High School - Class of 1961.She was employed at various jobs including Univac and Ball Manufacturing. She retired from Polaris Industries in 2009.She did rosemaling and painted items in a small Scandinavian gift shop. Carol enjoyed a lifelong passion for Art & Painting and had incredible artistic talent. She also enjoyed reading and found peace in nature. She only needed to step outside her front door to experience the sights and sounds. She loved feeding the animals - birds and squirrels. She fed her buddy Bandit (neighbors' horse) a carrot every day. The winter of 2023 brought very heavy and deep snow, making it difficult for the deer to find food. Carol put out more corn for the squirrels and deer to help them make it through the winter. She got to know the deer and started giving them names. She gave one deer that had a lame front leg the name Tiny Tim. Another deer that had longer hair between its ears became known as Scruffy Head. She found solitude, sitting in their gazebo, surrounded by the trees & animals. Carol & Jerome always had dogs, which kept her company whenever Jerome was away fishing or snowmobiling. In the winter of 2022, Carol went ice fishing with Jerome for the first time and enjoyed it so much, she became Jerome's steady fishing partner. She even enjoyed a whiteout snowstorm on Lake Vermilion that lasted a full day! With the heavily wooded lots she and Jerome owned, there was a constant flow of downed trees and limbs. They became very efficient at cleaning up those trees and rewarded themselves with a nice bonfire. She enjoyed getting together with family and friends. She was an excellent cook and made the best chocolate chip cookies along with being a fantastic homemaker. She made an impact on many lives and will be forever missed. We love you and until we are together again .......
