Anne (Nancy) Dussol

Dussol, Anne Hebner (Nancy) age 73, of Minnetonka, died peacefully at home on April 28. Nancy was born on January 14, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Hebner. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Brussels, Belgium and from Barat College, Lake Forest, Illinois in 1955. She married Pierre Dussol on September 14, 1957 at Fort Meade, Maryland and immediately moved to the Minneapolis area. In 1994, following a successful battle with cancer of the tongue, Nancy was awarded a Masters Degree in Theology by the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul , MN. She worked as a realtor for Burnet Realty for twelve years but her true vocation was raising children and serving others as a volunteer. She was a Guardian Ad Litem in Hennepin County for five years, was a charter participant in the Elders Counseling Elders program of Catholic Charities, and for twelve years was a hospice volunteer at Fairview Riverside Hospital. Nancy was an ardent reader, an excellent cook, an avid bridge player and a superior Yahtzee player. She was devoted to her church and to her many friends. Nancy is survived by her husband, Pierre; daughters, Elizabeth (John Barron) Dussol of Minneapolis, Catherine (Tim Moe) Dussol of Rochester, MN, Anne (Douglas) Humes of Mahtomedi, MN and Mary (Jeff Caddy) Dussol of Olympia, WA; six grandchildren; brothers, George Hebner of Southport, CT and Stanley Hebner of Richmond, VA and sister, Elizabeth (Becky) Kemsley of Lafayette, CA. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 2nd, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 PM at the Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins, MN. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 3, at 11 AM at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, 6 Interlachen Rd., Hopkins, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the College of St. Catherine, 2004 Randolph Ave., Box F-12, St. Paul, MN 55105-1789 or to the local food shelf of your choice.
