Office Generalist

Join our team of compassionate professionals and advance your career with community-focused work as Office Generalist at our Hillside location in Northeast Minneapolis.
Ongoing responsibilities:
- Utilize QuickBooks to process invoices and manage assigned accounting functions
- Ensure outstanding balances are collected in a timely manner
- Collaborate with manager to fulfill accounts payable responsibilities
- Assist with talent recruitment activities
- Actively participate in hiring, onboarding, and training processes
- Provide research and documentation for customer accounts as needed
- Accurately track and enter information on program spreadsheets
- Demonstrate timeliness, proofreading, record-keeping and thorough follow-up
- Demonstrate professional communication when interacting with families, in-person, via phone, and email
- Assist manager/Directors as requested and perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience with QuickBooks or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience with MS Office Suite required, including working with Excel spreadsheets
- Minimum 2 years of experience with office management or administrative experience
- Background in human resources and/or accounting
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Critical attention to accuracy, detail, and follow-through
- Ability to effectively multi-task and remain calm under pressure
- Self-starter with ability to work in an independently, and cooperatively within a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Additional preferences:
- College degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience with proven accurate data entry, administrative duties and responsibilities, human resources and/or accounting expertise and knowledge
- Prior funeral service experience

- Monday-Friday, every other weekend
- 8-hour shifts
- Holiday rotations
